Turkey's crude steel output keeps rising in January
Turkish crude steel production rose 7.6% year-on-year in January, after reaching the highest-ever annual volume produced in the country in 2017.
January's crude steel output totalled 3.17 million tonnes, driven by an 11.5% y-o-y increase in scrap-based production to 2.16mt. Integrated mills' total output inched up 0.2% to 1.03mt, according to the Turkish Steel Producers' Association (TCUD).
