Turkey's crude steel, pig iron production surge
Turkey produced 3.21 million tonnes of crude steel in May, an increase of 11.6% year-on-year and up by 14.9% month-on-month, according to worldsteel data monitored by Kallanish.
In the pig iron segment, the country registered 5.6% on-year increase in May, to 0.89mt, which was higher by 4.1% on-month.
