Turkish crude steel production growth accelerates in August
The pace of growth of Turkish crude steel production accelerated in August thanks to a rise in scrap-based output, Kallanish notes from a Turkish Steel Producers' Association (TCUD) statement.
In August Turkey produced 2.85 million tonnes of crude steel, up 12.9% year-on-year and 7.2% over July, TCUD says in the statement. This follows a 6.5% on-year rise and a -7.2% on-month decline in July's output.
