Turkey's China-origin semis imports jump in January-July
Turkish imports of semi-finished steel from China surged 484.7% year-on-year to 891,372 tonnes in the seven months through July, according to the Turkish Steel Producers' Association (TCUD).
Accounting for 56% of Turkey's total China-origin steel imports for the review period, semis were the main contributor with 49.8% y-o-y growth to 1.59 million tonnes, Kallanish notes from a TCUD statement.
