Tubacex workers declare indefinite strike on job cuts
Tubacex workers have begun an indefinite strike, Kallanish learns from unions. The action comes in response to drastic workforce reduction at the Spanish stainless seamless tubemaker's plants in Amurrio y LLodio, in the Basque region.
"Since Monday, Tubacex’s workforce began a total stoppage of production for an indefinite period following the announcement of the company’s layoff plan of 150 people,” local unions explain.
