Tsingshan reaches half of 2021 commissioning target
The twenty-first rotary kiln electric furnace (RKEF) in Indonesia’s Weda Bay Industrial Park successfully trial produced nickel pig iron on 23 May, Kallanish notes.
In January, Xiang Binghe, chairman of Tsingshan Group, said that the company will put another 18 RKEFs into operation in 2021, following the completion of 12 RKEFs last year. The trial production of the No.21 RKEF marks the halfway point in Tsingshan's plan for this year.
