Tsingshan secures Zimbabwe steelworks funding: reports
Chinese private stainless steel giant Tsingshan Group is speeding up the investment into and construction of its prospective Zimbabwe steel complex. Its local subsidiary, Afrochine Smelting, says it has secured the $1 billion needed for the first phase of the project to establish a 1.2 million tonnes/year steel plant in Chivhu, according to Zimbabwe media reports.
