Tsingshan constructs cold rolling plant in Zhoushan
Leading Chinese stainless steel producer Tsingshan has commenced construction of a cold-rolled stainless steel plant on Jinboyu Island in Zhejiang’s Zhoushan. The preliminary work had begun as early as 2020, Kallanish notes.
The company expects to add 700,000 tonnes/year of wide precision cold-rolled stainless steel strip capacity. Also, a supporting project with 300,000 t/y of deep processing capacity will be built.
