Tsingshan begins Jingjiang processing base construction
Chinese stainless steel giant Tsingshan Group has begun construction of the first phase of its stainless steel processing base in Jingjiang, Jiangsu Province, Kallanish notes.
Tsingshan plans to invest CNY 5 billion ($785 million) in Phase I, which is equivalent to 42% of total planned investment. Construction is scheduled for completion by end-2022.
There are two further phases of the Jingjiang base to be carried out, with no clear construction timetable.
