Transportation department awards $1 billion for infrastructure projects
The US Department of Transportation has issued $1 billion in funding for the nation's infrastructure projects, Kallanish reports.
According to a notice of funding opportunity published by the department, the $1 billion will be granted through the Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity (RAISE) grant program. Projects eligible for funding include; freight rail, road, bridge, and port infrastructure projects.
