Toyota suspends various Japanese lines on earthquake impact
Toyota will suspend production at 14 lines across nine plants in Japan this week as a result of the 7.1 magnitude earthquake that struck near Fukushima last Saturday.
Last week Toyota said it will reduce Yaris model production at its French plants by 2,600 vehicles in April due to the prevailing semi-conductor shortage that has hit global automotive output. This also means production of the corresponding powertrain units will be affected at its Polish plants.
