Toyota announces further output cuts in May
Japanese automaker Toyota has announced additional production cuts in Japan and elsewhere for May because of the global shortage of semiconductors and other parts, as well as lockdowns in Shanghai, which is an important production site and transit station for related products.
The company cut its global auto output forecast for May by 50,000 units, Kallanish learns. Earlier, it expected to produce 750,000 units in May.
