Toscelik to use solar power for pipe plant
Turkish steelmaker Toscelik has commenced a rooftop photovoltaic (PV) solar power system installation project on the top of its electric resistance welded (ERW) plant in Osmaniye, southern Turkey.
Toscelik targets to feed the all of the plant's electricity needs from the output of this PV system, a source close to the company tells Kallanish. With this project, the steelmaker aims to produce carbon steel with the smallest footprint in the world.
