Tokyo Steel’s profits rise in second quarter
Tokyo Steel’s net profit rose 15.9% year-on-year to JPY 3.63 billion ($33 million) in the first fiscal quarter through June, Kallanish notes.
Revenue meanwhile came to JPY 53.07 billion, growing by 45.9% from the corresponding period last year. The increase in both figures was aided by historic high prices and supply shortages of steel products in overseas markets.
