Tokyo Steel suspends offering amid rising feedstock costs
Japanese electric arc furnace steelmaker Tokyo Steel says it has temporarily suspended offering all product effective 7 March. This is because steel and raw materials markets have skyrocketed due to the Russia-Ukraine war, Kallanish notes.
Tokyo Steel's price offers to local stockists, the real estate industry and for export sales have all been suspended. The mill has not indicated when offers will resume.
