Tokyo Steel orders Danieli billet caster
Japan’s Tokyo Steel Manufacturing has placed an order with Danieli for a new billet and bloom caster, the Italy-headquartered engineering firm says. The caster will allow Tokyo Steel’s Okoyama plant to increase its long products focus after coil production there ended earlier this year, Kallanish notes.
The new caster will be added to an existing DC electric arc furnace and will produce 170x170mm to 250x310mm sizes with lengths of 2.8-7.5m.…
