Tokyo Steel maintains offers for May
For retail sales in May, Japan’s Tokyo Steel has decided to maintain its prices for long steel products. This is the first time in three months that it has kept longs prices unchanged. Quotations for flat steel prices also kept stable, as they had the prior month, Kallanish learns.
The base prices of deformed bars now stand at JPY 103,000/tonne ($764/t). Offers are JPY 127,000/t for H-beams, and JPY 1,000/ higher for I-beams.
