Tokyo Steel achieves record-high revenue
Tokyo Steel, Japan’s leading electric arc furnace-based steel manufacturer, achieved record-high revenue for the fiscal year ending March 2023 (FY23) on surging steel production and sales. However, net profit declined slowly.
In FY23, Tokyo Steel produced 3.407 million tonnes of crude steel and 3.129mt of finished steel, an increase of 12.3% and 13.2% over FY22 respectively, Kallanish notes.
