TMK Ipsco to idle Iowa OCTG mill
TMK Ipsco plans to idle its Camanche, Iowa, facility due to market conditions, Kallanish learns from a company representative.
Spokeswoman Donna Smith confirmed that the plan will be idled and 101 workers of 119 temporarily laid off until market conditions improve.
The idling is due to a drop in the price of oil, which is affecting companies throughout the oilfield supply chain, she says.
