TimkenSteel stays optimistic despite first-quarter loss
US steel producer TimkenSteel says the market has finally pulled itself out of its slump, and it is now poised for growth, despite the company’s first-quarter loss, Kallanish reports.
TimkenSteel posted a loss of $1.9 million on sales of $380.8m in Q1, down from a loss of $5.3m on sales of $309.4m.
