TimkenSteel records loss, stays hopeful
US specialty steel producer TimkenSteel hopes the momentum it gained in late 2017 will carry over well into 2018, Kallanish learns from the company’s year-end earnings review.
Timken lost $44.3 million on sales of $1.3 billion in 2017, including a loss of $34.4m on sales of $341.4m in the fourth quarter. That is down, however, from a loss of $105.5m on sales of $869.5m in 2016 and a loss of $67m on sales of $214.7m in Q4 2016.
