TimkenSteel posts loss, anticipates more of the same
US specialty steelmaker TimkenSteel expects shipments and profits to be down significantly in the third quarter, Kallanish learns from TimkenSteel’s Q2 earnings review.
TimkenSteel posted a net loss of $4.4 million on sales of $336.7m in Q2, down from a net income of $8.4m on sales of $413.5m in Q2 2018.
That trend will continue in Q3, the company says, with shipments expected to fall by -10% and the company’s net loss to be between $17-25m.
