TimkenSteel to close Houston facility
US specialty steel producer TimkenSteel plans to shutter its Houston, Texas, material services facility early next year, Kallanish learns from a company release.
The energy-focused, 100,000-square foot facility employs about 100 workers. TimkenSteel – which is in the midst of a corporate cost-cutting effort – expects to save $6-8 million/year as a result of the shuttering.
