Proposed job cuts "... outrage" thyssenkrupp works council
An announcement on Friday that the cancellation of the thyssenkrupp-Tata joint venture will lead to restructuring involving a staff reduction of 6,000 jobs at thyssenkrupp was greeted with shock by the company’s works council. Over the weekend, however, the management reached an initial agreement with union IG Metall that compulsory redundancies ought to be avoided as far as possible.
