Thyssenkrupp's new BF feed material pilot gets funding
Funding in the amount of €6.4 million ($7.2m) has now been granted by the North Rhine Westphalia state government for a circular economy project by steelmaker thyssenkrupp Steel and scrap merchant group TSR.
The project aims to strengthen the recycling cycle of iron and steel at a blast furnace mill, while reducing CO2 emissions. TSR has developed a recycled product compiled of conventional materials, like consumer scrap, and ready for use in blast furnaces.
