Thyssenkrupp restarts big blast furnace
Thyssenkrupp Steel’s “Schwelgern 1” blast furnace has resumed production after three months of downtime for relining, which cost a double-digit million euros amount.
The furnace will now go back to producing around 10,000 tonnes/day of hot metal, Kallanish hears from the steelmaker, which can consequently now again operate at full hot metal capacity.
