Three Taiwanese mills hike stainless prices for February
Three major stainless steel manufacturers in Taiwan, Yieh United Steel Corporation (Yusco), Tang Eng and Walsin Lihwa, have announced price hikes for February to reflect higher costs and post-holiday restocking, Kallanish observes.
Yusco lifted domestic prices for 304 and 430 series products by TWD 2,500/tonne ($83/t) and TWD 1,500/t, respectively. Meanwhile, the surcharge for 316L products was raised by TWD 5,000/t.
