Three Chinese steelmakers overhaul blast furnaces
China’s Anshan Iron & Steel (Angang), Weifang Special Steel, and Baotou Iron & Steel have or will start to overhaul one of their blast furnaces, Kallanish notes.
One of Angang’s 3,200 cubic metre-BFs entered maintenance on Monday, and this is expected to last one week. Its daily hot metal output is about 8,000 tonnes.
