Texas steps in on Steel Dynamics' wastewater plant
Steel Dynamics Inc’s (SDI) wastewater treatment plant for its planned Sinton, Texas, mill has been halted by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
Following a complaint by environmental group The Aransas Project, the commission ordered construction halted due to permitting issues.
The commission alleges that SDI began construction of the wastewater plant before a permit had been issued.
