Tenaris Tamsa orders new annealing furnace
Mexican tube producer Tenaris Tamsa has ordered a new furnace from equipment manufacturer Danieli to produce bright annealing carbon tubes, Kallanish reports.
The roller hearth furnace will be able to process tubes up to 16 metres long and in diameters ranging from 15-120mm. Installation is slated for January 2018.
The furnace’s estimated yearly capacity is about 24,000 tonnes.
The cost of the furnace was not disclosed.
