Tenaris to idle Houston couplings facility
Tube manufacturer Tenaris plans to idle its Houston, Texas, couplings facility by the end of March, Kallanish learns from a company statement.
The company attributes the move to falling oil price, a weak rig count, and allegedly unfairly traded oil country tubular goods imports from South Korea. The idling will be for an “… undetermined period of time,” Tenaris says.
