Tenaris cuts US headcount due to oil dip
Luxembourg-based tube producer Tenaris plans to lay off about 900 US employees as a result of tumbling oil prices, Kallanish learns from a company release.
Tenaris will temporarily idle its Koppel and Ambridge, Pennsylvania, plants beginning 31 March. The company’s Brookfield, Ohio, threading facility will be idled on 17 April, concurrent with staff cuts at its threading facility in Baytown, Texas, and its Hickman, Arkansas, welded pipe plant.
