Tenaris begins to cut workforce in Siderca
Argentinian tube maker Tenaris Siderca, part of the Techint Group, has begun to lay off workers at its plant in Campana, according to a local trade union, Kallanish notes.
In an earlier meeting with the worker's representatives last month, Tenaris explained that the current action is due to a temporary contraction of demand which is responsible for a decrease in order volumes. The workforce cut, which started on 30 December, involves 191 workers. The layoffs c…
