Tata output, sales rise on Indian economic recovery
Tata Steel’s crude steel production grew 2% on-quarter to 4.73 million tonnes in the September quarter. This was also up 3% on-year. Production and deliveries grew on the back of economic recovery after the second Covid-19 wave in India.
The figures comprise Tata Steel’s standalone production, as well as its entities BSL and Tata Steel Long Products, without eliminating inter-company transactions, Kallanish notes.
