Tata's output rises, deliveries plunge on lower exports
Tata Steel’s consolidated crude steel production grew 3% on-year to 4.73 million tonnes in the fiscal second quarter ended 30 September, and was up 2% on-quarter, Kallanish notes.
Owing to low export volumes, Tata Steel’s deliveries plunged 9% on-year to 4.58mt in the September quarter. Sales, however, grew 11% on-quarter. Export deliveries plummeted 40% on-year to 0.71mt, against 1.19mt last year.
