Tata Steel UK bags major offshore pipe contract
Tata Steel UK has secured a contract to provide high frequency induction (HFI) line pipe for an oil and gas project north-east of Shetland in the UK North Sea, the company tells Kallanish.
The steelmaker will manufacture more than 10km of HFI line pipe from its 20” Mill in Hartlepool for sleeve pipe applications as part of a bundle system for the project, it confirms.
