Tata Steel reports record India sales, Europe flat
Tata Steel India reported a 56% on-year surge in sales in the fourth fiscal quarter through March 2019 (FQ4) to 4.73 million tonnes, a record for the quarter. Crude steel output was a FQ4 record of 4.47mt, driven by increased capacity utilisation, including at Tata Steel BSL.
Tata Steel BSL increased sales 23% to 1.15mt, Tata Steel says in a note seen by Kallanish.
