Tata Steel Indian sales rise, foresees stronger prices
Tata Steel says Indian steel prices are expected to improve further with strong retail demand and ongoing dealer restocking. Prices reached a nadir in October 2019 before improving from November onwards.
Tata Steel India sales rose 24% on-year in the third fiscal quarter through December (FQ3) to 4.84 million tonnes, with production up 2% to 4.46mt. India’s economy was characterised by declining private consumption growth and low investment growth.
