Tata continues investment in UK steel distribution/processing
Tata Steel UK has opened a new robotic welding line at its Automotive Service Centre in Wednesfield in the West Midlands area, the company tells Kallanish.
The new line trebles the site’s capacity to produce tailor-welded blanks for the automotive sector, the steelmaker says. It can weld more than a thousand parts/hour. Tailor-welded blanks are used in primarily for the body in white and the closures of a car.
