Taiwanese stainless mills raise June prices
Taiwan’s leading stainless steel manufacturer, Yieh Hsing Enterprise, has raised list prices for June sales. Other companies have raised prices implicitly by announcing they will negotiate individually with customers, Kallanish notes.
Yieh Hsing has added TWD 3,000/tonne ($92/t) on 300 series stainless steel wire rods, and TWD 1,500/t on the surcharge for 316 products. Meanwhile, 200 and 400 series products only saw a price hike of TWD 1,000/t.
