Taiwanese scrap turns down
Taiwan's scrap prices have begun to decline sharply, with steel mills believing prices still have room for further correction.
Since the latter part of last week, Taiwan's scrap offers have begun to decrease as global scrap prices have weakened. Offers for HMS 1&2 80:20 container scrap from the US West Coast have seen a drop of about $15-25/tonne to $425-435/t cfr Taiwan this week.
