Taiwanese scrap prices jump despite more supply

The Taiwanese scrap market maintained its upward trend as expected this week, although the volumes of offers from both Japan and the US also increased. After bids for scrap rose in Kanto, the price of Japanese scrap exported to Taiwan jumped further to $280-285/tonne cfr Taiwan. This was an increase of $10-15/t cfr compared to last week.
