Taiwanese container scrap sees decline
The Taiwanese market for containerised scrap saw a decline in deal prices this week, Kallanish notes. The market was quiet with some trading sources saying that import buying interest from local steel mills has slowed down.
A leading mill in Taiwan has reportedly booked around 8,000 tonnes containerised HMS 1&2 80:20 on Wednesday at $285-287/tonne cfr, a Taiwanese trader said. This price is lower than the mill's bid at $290/t cfr last Thursday.…
