Taiwanese container scrap prices continue to rise
Container scrap prices have increased in Taiwan for the third consecutive week, Kallanish notes. Demand is strong due to efforts by the Taiwanese mills to build up to their scrap stockpiles.
Deals for 80:20 US scrap imports have exceeded $340/tonne cfr, trading sources in Taiwan say. Certain mills have booked material at $345/t cfr.
