Taiwan CSC records production, earnings growth through May

In May this year, Taiwan China Steel Corporation’s (CSC) earnings held level compared with the prior month, despite slightly lower carbon steel sales. Five-month earnings also achieved significant growth, although sales only rose slowly, according to the monthly report released on Wednesday. CSC’s carbon steel sales were down 3.3% over April to 657,357 tonnes in May, and dragged down revenue by 2.4% to TWD 31.91 billion ($979 million), Kallanish notes.…
