Supply-chain alterations to elevate Indian steel prices: Crisil
Indian steel prices are expected to increase on the back of rising coking coal values coupled with domestic iron ore prices, which rose significantly since the withdrawal of India’s export duty, effective November, says Crisil.
Domestic flat steel prices are expected to soften only 2-4% on-year in the fiscal year ending 31 March 2024, after seeing a decline of over 30% last December versus historical highs in April.
