Steel, iron ore slip further

Seaborne iron ore and Chinese steel futures prices both fell slightly at the start of the week. With Chinese steel production showing signs of falling and demand flat, the outlook for both prices remains bleak. The Kallanish index for 62% Fe Australian fines dropped $0.12/t on Monday to $47.57/dry metric tonne cfr Qingdao.
