Steel futures stabilise, anticipate end-September restocking
In a market still preoccupied with macroeconomic concerns and demand expectations, Chinese rebar and hot rolled coil futures stabilised on Monday, while spot prices attempted to climb slightly, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange, the most-traded January 2023 rebar contract closed CNY 10/tonne higher than Friday at CNY 3,696/t ($527/t), while the same contract for HRC lost CNY 8/t at CNY 3,750/t.
