Steel Dynamics turns profit in troubled second quarter
US steel producer Steel Dynamics remained in the green during the second-quarter, which contained the most acute months of the first wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, Kallanish reports.
Steel Dynamics earned $75 million on sales of $2.1 billion during the second quarter, down from earnings of $194m on sales of $2.8 billion in Q2 2019 and earnings of $187m on sales of $2.6 billion in Q1.
