Steel Dynamics snags record after record in Q2
US steelmaker Steel Dynamics Inc (SDI) capped off the second quarter with a slew of company records, Kallanish reports.
SDI posted net income in Q2 of $702 million on sales of $4.5 billion - both company records. The company also achieved record steel shipments of 2.9m short tons and record fabrication shipments of 189,000 st, alongside record cash flow of $587m.
In Q2 2020, the company posted net income of $75m on sales of $2.1 billion.
